Lesson 1, Section 1: Advocacy for humanist principles

Advocacy for humanist principles

In this section we will explore some of our core values and the contemporary issues that they should help to inform. In many cases there is a significant overlap between these general subheadings because some of the principles enumerated earlier are not mutually exclusive. Therefore, issues based upon a conflict between scientific rationalism and dogmatic religion, for example, are also likely to include elements of promoting a non-theistic worldview and/or tolerance for divergent religious beliefs.
